Pollen St Anchors

Development of an inner city site to include a 2 level basement meant that the perimeter wall needed to be retained to allow the excavation works to proceed. Temporary ground anchors were required to limit the wall deflections and mitigate damage to sensitive buildings adjacent to the site. A total of 22No temporary ground anchors were installed, each comprising 6x12.7mm strands up to 25m long in a 150mm hole. Each anchor was proof tested to 805kN for verification. Grouting Services also provided the steel corbels as part of the package.
