ETD Building PT Stong Floor

Grouting Services is pleased to be assisting Fletcher Construction by providing specialist post-tensioning services for the strong floor at AUTs new Engineering Technology and Design building. PT tendons are OVM type 15.2mm multi-strand that range in size from 10No-22No x 15.2mm strands (255T to 565T ultimate tensile strength - UTS) and are required to be tensioned to nearly 80%UTS. A complex geometry between vertical wall tendons and horizontal slab tendons was further complicated by multiple hold down bolts and a very high concentration of conventional reinforcement which meant that 3-D modelling was required to identify build-ability issues prior to commencing.
