Hunua Quarry GRP Slope Protection

Grouting Services proactive approach to problem solving led to the award of another slope protection project which incorporated over 400No BluGeo GRP soil nails and more than 2000sq.m of Macmat R. The nail lengths ranged from 6-12m and were terminated with a 300x300x14 bearing plate to secure the Macmat R. 5 full scale proving trial nails were installed to verify the geotechnical ultimate bond rupture and enable refinement of the geotechnical design model. Grouting Services scope also included the peer review of the slope retention system and the construction of inclined bored drains.
