Bridge Strengthening - External PT

Grouting Services attended the NZ Bridges 2015 Conference in Auckland and was pleased to hear about the latest developments in bridge design and construction. Of particular interest was management of risk on the 4000 State Highway Bridges and the manner in which NZTA is promoting departures form the bridge manual to allow alternative and cost effective solutions in the design of earthquake resistant structures. Grouting Services has a long history of working on bridges and this photo shows tandem stressing of 50m long 180T strand tendons used for external strengthening.
