Nuffield Street Suspended PT Slab

Grouting Services has an enviable reputation in delivering design and construct solutions for suspended post-tensioned slabs, as well as supply and install solutions.

The latest project successfully completed is the Nuffield Residences in Newmarket. The development comprises a ten-storey, mixed use carpark, retail and residential apartment building with a total gross floor area of approximately 2750m2. Conset Construction delivered the insitu-concrete package including the shear walls and suspended post-tensioned slabs for Main Contractor Waide Construction.

Grouting Services is proud to have provided the design and construct services for the post-tensioning works to Conset Construction. The suspended post-tensioned slabs started at level 2 and footprints ranged from 250m2 to 375m2. Levels 2 and 3 comprised a 300mm flat plate slab. Level 4 included  650mm and 750mm transfers with slab depths ranging from 200mm to 425mm. Levels 5 to 10 comprised a 250mm flat plate with banded beams (400mm-425mm deep and 900mm-1200mm wide).

Grouting Services engaged partner EDGE consulting to complete the PT design, documentation and construction monitoring (PS1 and PS4). Post-tensioning and reinforcement quantities were in the order 6kg/m2 and 20kg/m2 respectively.
