Making the impossible possible. The ignimbrite cuttings along the NIMT line through the King Country are classed as some of the highest rock fall risk for the KiwiRail network. Thanks to Bluey and its' innovative GRP60 bar, our client Abseill Access was easily able to install 9m long rock bolts in a single length. The 38mm GRP bar has a minimum UTS 750kN, weighs only 2.1kg/m and the shear characteristics are at least as good as steel. The GRP bar has been developed specifically for the ground anchoring / soil nailing / rock bolting market. It is non-conductive, economic and very durable.
