Building 5A Wynyard Quarter

Grouting Services played a significant role in providing specialist ground anchoring services as part of the design and construct works on Building 5A at Wynyard Quarter. The basement required up to 7m high temporary retention and groundwater cut off for the formation of a permanent tanked basement. Hawkins Construction pulled together a team of experts to integrate the design of the anchors with the steel sheet pile system. An innovative concrete waling system was also developed and proved to be very cost effective when compared to a traditional steel waler system. The innovative Samwoo removable ground anchor system was also incorporated into the anchor design.
